Cupping Therapy is the application of plastic vacuum cups or silicone suction cups applied to the skin to create suction. It is a unique approach to treating the body’s fascial. The use of these cups on stubborn areas can affect deeper tissues, reducing restrictions that will allow you to move better.

Some circular discolorations, ranging from light pink to dark purple marks may appear on the skin after a cupping therapy session. Cupping marks typically clear within one to two weeks. These marks are not true bruises and do not involve muscle fiber injury.

A hot stone massage is a therapeutic treatment where smooth, heated stones are placed on the body to relax muscles and promote deep relaxation, with the heat allowing a therapist to work more deeply into muscle layers to relieve tension and pain. This age-old therapy can alleviate muscle pain and spasms, support sleep, improve flexibility, and decrease stress, making it beneficial for chronic conditions like arthritis and muscle soreness.

Please book 3 hours ahead to leave the therapist enough time to heat up the stones.

Medical acupuncture is a limited form of acupuncture practiced by various registered therapists, such as chiropractors, physiotherapists, and massage therapists who wish to add an abbreviated version of acupuncture and/or dry needling to their practice.

Medical acupuncture can be used for relaxation, stress relief, and pain relief. The therapist will insert tiny, sterile acupuncture needles into areas indicated to relieve musculoskeletal pain, muscular trigger points, increase circulation, and improve healing and nerve function in affected areas.

However, therapists trained in medical acupuncture do not have full traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture training, and cannot diagnose and treat as a fully licensed TCM or acupuncturist. Referrals to fully trained acupuncturists for more complicated needs and cases can be made

**Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force, also referred to as “Chi”. This is practiced with the use of needles inserted through a person's skin at specific points of the body called acupuncture points. Various disorders can be treated with the use of acupuncture, and has been used effectively for thousands of years. It can also be used for relieving stress, back and joint pains, headaches, and may improve your immune system. We would be happy to refer you to a fully trained TCM or acupuncturist to fit your needs!
